I can’t shake this positivity. The creamy jalapeno sauce at Chuy’s wasn’t the spiciest thing there, and I just can’t stop seeing good things everywhere. So, I’m going to tell you what I like about Mississippi State.

What I like about Mississippi State is that Dan Mullen energized the fans and the scoreboard. The Bulldogs improved over 10 points per game from the previous year, and fans set a new attendance mark in Starkville.

Mullen is really the highlight of what is going on at Mississippi State. He has shown himself to be a leader, and just like his mentor Urban Meyer, he understands the importance of winning the rivalry games. See Mississippi State 41 Ole Miss 27. Mullen has a big early season test with a Thursday night game hosting Auburn. It’ll be important because the Bulldogs go on the road the next week to play LSU and follow that up by hosting Georgia. It is a brutal stretch for so early in the season, but Mississippi State must do well with later games coming at Florida, at Alabama and at Ole Miss.

What I like about Misssissippi State is Chad Bumphis. Provided the Bulldogs can get him the ball, he is an explosive player.

What I like about Mississippi State’s defense is the secondary. It could be very good.

What I like about Mississippi State is that Springville, Alabama’s Patrick Hanrahan plays fullback for the Bulldogs. There are many Alabama players on the Bulldog roster including names like Chris Relf, Brandon Heavens, Blaine Clausell, and a host of others. Mississippi State does a good job finding talent in Alabama.

  1. If we can get a win in the Auburn game it could be a fun season for the Dawgs. Bumphis is a play maker and Hanrahan is very solid blocker out of the backfield.
