REPORT: “The Pacific-10 Conference will extend an invitation to the University of Utah to become the league’s 12th team, Comcast SportsNet has learned exclusively from sources close to the situation. A press conference is expected to formalize the announcement on Wednesday.”

The strategic implication is that Utah’s admission to the Pac-10 looks to fit the culture of the Pac-10 better than the addition of many of the Big XII teams.

  1. Utah is a decent choice, although based on 25 years of accomplishments BYU deserved it more. And Boise St read the tea leaves wrong and jumped too quick thinking the MWC was destined to replace the Big 12 in the BCS. Now the MWC is reduced back to 9 teams and weakened considerably as I don’t think BSU will have anymore undefeated seasons with TCU, BYU, Air Force, CSU a Pac 10 team and another intersectional power from the East on their schedule. I bet Senator Orin is tickled pink that his Utah team is magically a BCS team now. Bet we don’t hear much more from congress either. Know what Orin means in Spanish? PISS! Bwaa Haww Haww! RTR!
