Gov. Rick Perry, a Texas A&M graduate and former Aggie yell leader, has appointed every regent to the schools’ respective boards. But he said this week he is staying out of the conference decisions and would not try to influence what the schools do. (read the entire AP update below)

Seems from all indications that A&M could be on their way to joining the SEC West. LSU-Texas A&M may finally be the rivalry LSU has been looking for for years.

But would we take Baylor? Their basketball program is a good one. But in football they’re another Vandy. Which means Auburn would want them on their schedule to help them get to seven wins, unleashing the celebratory parades. Look for Jay Jacobs to be lobbying HARD.

If A&M, Oklahoma and Ok. State all come, we’ll be getting Va. Tech and the Barners will be going East to join them. Bwaa Haww Haww! RTR!
