According to Yahoo.com‘s running draft analysis, “The Raiders get a new cog for the middle of the defense. McClain is a guy who can attack downhill and will instantly upgrade their run defense. He’s a leader on the field with great instincts and knows how to find the football. A very solid pick.”

Perhaps this is a very good selection for the Raiders. The team has made errors in past drafts by picking players who were not mature enough to carry the burden of playing in the NFL. McClain has already shown he is a mature and a leader.
