REPORT: Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback signee Dequan Menzie tears Achillies Tendon
According to Don Kausler: “Dequan Menzie, a junior college cornerback who signed with Alabama in February, has torn an Achilles tendon and will be out for up to six months, his high school coach said this morning.”

Kausler describes it as “a big blow to Alabama, which lacks depth in a secondary that must be rebuilt this season.”

No doubt. The secondary was one of the larger question marks for the 2010 version of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

  1. thats bad news for any kids family or team god bless him. hope to have him back healthy next year

  2. This is a serious injury and will require EXTENSIVE therapy — they might as well medical redshirt him — because it’s over for the season — even if it’s the first of April — painful ass injury too. The Crimson will prevail though over the “problems” — see Hightower in the ’09 season. RTR.

    Crystal.

  3. (cont.) — I looked this up — medically — there is an 80% chance that this will re-injure in the future. Only time will tell … 80% — dizzam…
