The Auburn Family versus the Crimson Empire- A juxtaposition
By Shane from Centerpoint

I have information coming from a usually reliable source telling me that the Auburn football program is well on its way back to national prominence. That same source also tells me that head coach Gene Chizik believes that his team is loaded with enough talent (right now) to compete with the best. The Tiger fan base has been on cloud nine since their first top-five recruiting class signed on. And, thanks to Trooper Taylor, Auburn appears ready to improve this class over the last one by leaps and bounds.

My correspondent over on the western front tells me that all is well with the Crimson Tide. All facets of the program are running in high order. Nick Saban has his young team focused. His patented “process” for the 2010 campaign is well under way. The Tide fan base is riding high and carries the confidence that winning a championship brings. Don’t forget, Coach Saban reeled in another top-ranked class as well.

Auburn’s Chizik made a couple of brilliant hires from a recruiting standpoint. Team Trooper and Luper are (by far) Auburn’s best weapons. As long as they stay, Auburn will continue to bring in its share of the best talent America has to offer.

Meanwhile, it has to help Bama’s assistants immensely to know that Nick Saban – probably the best closer in the business – is going to come in when things get down to the wire and seal the deal. The truly amazing part about Saban is his consistent ability to stack his teams with layers of superior players.

Auburn fans in general are the same as they ever were. They spend the off-season defending their Tigers’ honor on the Internet and airwaves. Even after being jerked around by the institution’s power–brokers for years and a running–through a carousel of different coaches – they remain some of the most loyal and faithful football fans on the face of the earth.

Did anybody bedsides me notice that Alabama fans have almost taken the national crown “for granted” right alongside Nick Saban and his team? Most Crimson Tide fans completely understand what it means to be a champion. They also understand all the nuances involved with being a fan of the best program in the country.

Auburn is a team searching for its true identity on the national front. It is rapidly rebuilding under Coach Chizik’s watchful eye. Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn’s offensive schemes took the nation by storm, giving Auburn the reputation of being a scoring machine — but the defense (traditionally stout) lacked in basic fundamentals – like tackling. Chizik must define his team’s personality in year-two if he wants long-term success.

It may sound like an agonizing reappraisal to Crimson Tide opponents, but everything Alabama has done goes back to the original mission statement Saban laid out when he arrived at the Capstone. Alabama has become that team nobody wants to play. They are relentless, very physical, and use both assets to enforce a team attitude that dominates the competition for sixty minutes.

Questions to ponder:

Does the War Eagle clan have the patience to allow Chizik time (minimum 3yrs.) to rebuild the program? Tuberville left the system in shambles. How will Auburn fans handle losing a third game in a row to Alabama? Can Auburn coaches and players stay focused on improving their program without measuring themselves against their cross-state rival that is currently enjoying one of the greatest periods in its storied history?

Will Nick Saban lead Alabama to a third (record–setting) undefeated regular season in a row? Can the Crimson Tide maintain the edge that’s taken them to 26 wins in the last 28 games? Can Alabama impose the same will on opponents that enabled them to win the SEC title and the national crown in 2009?

One thing is as certain as the sunrise: September’s coming and all the answers will start rolling in by then.

  1. Great column Shane. Facts are facts, Alabama has been back and is doing great and AU is making up lost ground in recruiting which MIGHT translate on the field. Hindsight is 20/20 for the Alabama faithful.

Chizik has done what most college coaches hope to do, surround himself with great recruiters/coaches. Many people forget about Thigpen who is hands down one of the best recruiters. AL is doing great landing 2 four star players this early in the year. Hopefully the iron bowl will be back to a competitive level where it leaves both fan bases on pins and needles for 60 minutes of exhillirating entertainment. After all, do we want to watch a game like USC vs Stanford every year. I know that I do not.

  2. Approved…..though I’ll save the love for my wife and kids.

Shane hit one of many nails right on the head. The Auburn defense was not up to Auburn standards last year, mainly due to poor tackling. The lack of depth last year led to flag football practices. This will not be an issue this year. Expect the defense to be stout as ever, and the offense to be more fresh and potent. I recall 3 losses last year that would have been wins if not for those problems.

    10+ wins for 2010.

  3. It will be tough with 6 SEC teams with a bye week before they play Alabama, but I think Bama will likely win the NC again this year. Of course I cannot predict the future, just the history.

  4. Last night I watched a recording of last season’s win against Auburn.\

Auburn runs a reverse and their receiver makes an unwordly cut and takes it the distance 7-0. Then they are up 14-0 in first quarter. Jeerdan Hair is going batty nuts.

Then Alabama regains its composure and methodically steamrolls their ass.

26-21 win in fourth quarter. That is absolutely the most heartbreaking way to lose a game. I almost felt sorry for them. Almost.

    ROLL TIDE!

  5. If we handle Penn St easily then I will be highly disappointed if we lose a regular season game, although our toughest game will be Florida. Therein though lies the season snafu – having to beat Florida twice in one season. We are the only team to do it, even though it was against Spurrier not Meyer. There are going to be a hell of a lot of rivals extremely disappointed to discover that this years D will be just as good as last years by the first SEC game and will be baptised with the fire of the Penn St hybrid spread. The O is just plain gonna be Conan The Destroyer. Read it and weep rivals! RTR!

  6. AU FOOTBALL IS A SCAM – EVERYTIME U HEAR ABOUT IT – THINK TO YOURSELF – “I AM BEING SET UP.”

  7. AU RECRUITING IS NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT – JUST A EXTRA LARGE QUANITY OF MEDIOCRE TALENT AND CAM NEWTON IS KODI BURNS ALL OVER AGAIN BUT WORSE…DO NOT DECEIVE URSELF – AU FBALL IS A SCAM.

  8. Good to see you found the CapsLock button there retard. I was starting to worry about you.

  9. Blammmm !!!! “JUST LIKE DOG DOG THAT BEEN BEAT TOO MUCH”…You got smacked down there HAMMAH…..

  10. DO NOT BE LED BY SAN FRAN FAGGERTS WHO MOCK U INTO THINKING CAPS MEAN THIS OR THAT….DO NOT GO DOWN THE OLD DIRT ROAD – NO MO…AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN SMACKED DOWN 3,989,887 – 0 – 1 LIFETIME RECORD

  11. Auburn loses 4+ SEC games this sean but finishes 9-4 due to a weak schedule.
Aubbo fans go nuts thinking that Chizik is the second coming of christ.

Aub fans if you want to see how far you are into the ditch see Georgia and Mark Richt.

  12. Another day, another post about Auburn… Why is EVERY call on Finebaum and the vast majority of your ramblings on this blog about Auburn???? Ignore your enemy is an old rule, one that you could learn… When asked what he thought of Auburn, The Bama fans said I DON’T think of Auburn… The perception and the reality is that you always think about Auburn… You seem to want something from them, what is it???????

  13. Shane that was actually one of your better columns. Kudos. However, you did throw in a little bit of your usual shit. Like Auburn going through a “coaching carousel.” I believe that since we hired Tommy Tuberville in 1999, Alabama is on Coach #5 (Dubose, Fran, Price, Shula, Saban).

Your questions are a little bit shaky too. Here are some questions for you:

How will Bama handle that first loss? It is coming Shane. Whether to Penn State, South Carolina, LSU in Baton Rouge, or Auburn in T-Town, Bama will not go undefeated again. It lost too much on defense, and most of what will be coming in, while talented, hasn’t pissed an ounce.

What will the Bammernecks do if Auburn rolls into T-Town and beats them?

What if Auburn goes to Atlanta in Chizik’s second year?

Anything can happen. Auburn is going to be loaded on the offensive side of the ball. It is all going to depend on the QB play. Will Cam Newton step in and take control? Auburn’s offensive success rests on his shoulders. I never thought I would say this, but Auburn’s defense is going to be the biggest concern. The depth will be better but it still won’t be up to our standards. However, with Chizik there, I have no doubt that he will get the defense back to Auburn standards.

    WAR DAMN EAGLE!

  14. Chances that Alabama loses are high.

Chances that Alabama loses to the teams you named: Penn State, South Carolina, LSU or Auburn are low. (South Carolina being the most likely if I had to pick out of that group.) If I had to pick a team or two teams it would be someone like Arkansas going after Alabama’s young secondary, or Ole Miss or Florida in the SEC Championship game.

And I’m going to make a prediction now. I think AU’s defense is going to be the best part of the Auburn team in 2010. I think you’ll see substantial improvement. (It really couldn’t get much worse.) And the offense will regress. Newton will disappoint like Kodi Burns.

  15. Cappy, what do you base your prediction about Cam Newton on? (and spare me the garbage about the laptop incident being a predictor of his performance. Umpteen DUI’s didn’t stop David Palmer from being a dynamic player.) Newton might not work out to be anything great, but I can tell you he’s not Kodi Burns. Burns has never been able to throw the ball. Frankly, I don’t know how he was such a highly rated recruit. High School talent is so low that those wobbly ducks he threw were still somehow completed, I guess. Go watch some of Newton’s clips on youtube from Blinn, and I’m not talking about the competition he was facing. Watch his arm and his running. He’s got the ability, which Kodi simply doesn’t. The question is whether he’s got it between the ears.

  16. I like the “What if” questions. “What will the Bammernecks do if Auburn rolls into T-Town and beats them?”

Well, What will the Barners do if Bama kicks their ass 36 – 0 in T-town, again?

By the way, it is highly possible. More possible than Auburn coming in a beating us this year.

  17. I’m sure you were saying the reverse about Burns when he went to AU. Let me put it bluntly, if Newton were any good at all, he wouldn’t have been run out of Florida….felonies or not.

  18. You people are all missing a huge point in naming LSU, Arky, Aubie, Ole Miss, So Car or Penn St as most likely to trip up Bama. First place Aubie, Ole Miss and Penn St are all breaking in new QB’s and I don’t mean new QB’s like McElroy was. I mean QB’s who have never taken a division 1 snap, so forget them. LSU, Arky and So Car are the same as last year. Apparently you fail to realize that we lose Kentucky and pickup Florida this year. That will be the far and away toughest game. Luckily it is in T-Town. Anybody that thinks the D will be a weak point just doesn’t know anything about Bama’s personnel. There is experience returning at every position at which a starter was lost and quality coming who can play winning ball from the getgo just like Hightower, Johnson and Kirkpatrick did. Safety is the lone question because of Green, but I bet he’s back by the SJ St game, anyway there’s BJ Scott and it’s time for the #1 ranked “Athlete” of ’08 to break out. I’m not worried so why should you be? Ha ha ha! RTR!

  19. If Newton were “any good at all” he wouldn’t have left Fla?? So now you’re outright saying he’s no good at all?? Have you watched a single clip of him before saying that? Sounds like a little wishful thinking to me.

As to Kodi, I must admit I never even bothered to watch any of his clips from HS when he signed. I was horrified watching him throw as a freshman, but just kept hoping he could be coached up on his passing. He can’t be. Newton can already throw. The queston is whether he will throw it to the right guys wehen he’s supposed to.

  20. Cammy will throw to the right guys, the ones in crimson and white.

Bama’s D will be 2 steps faster next year than last. 3rd down pass rush will be more effective. Dareus will have 10 sacks because of the o-lines of the opponents will be trying to pick up the continuous blitz packages. The young secondary is gonna get a ton of help up front.

You like highlight reels julia, watch Jalston Fowler, and Eddy Lacey on youtube, then tell me about aubie’s severe need for quality linebackers at least 2 deep on the roster. Sorry barners, but the steamroller is just getting warmed up. Lacey will be the best 3rd down back in the country next year, based on speed and good hands of course. That is if Bama plays many 3rd and longs, good luck stopping Mark and Trent next time, they’ve got a grudge to rub on aubie.

Just pray Dareus doesn’t hit Newton the way he hit lil Timmy and Colt.

  21. the auburn family wins out over the
CRIMINAL CHEATING TERD NATION. TERD CRIMINALS HAVE BEEN PENALIZED MORE THAN ANY SCHOOL IN MAJOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL. YOU KILLED LOGAN YOUNG TO SHUT HIM UP.THE TERD NATION IS LAUGH AT ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY. ONE MORE THING TERD BALLS BRUSH YOUR TOOTH TODAY.

  22. it isn’t wishful thinking to say that IF Newton were as good as AU thinks, he would still be playing at Florida. Meyer is more concerned with winning than appearances. But just keep hoping that he turns out to be some great QB…even though Meyer already told us all we need to know about the kid. Besides, I thought Rollinson was the second coming or something.

  23. BAMA IS NO WHERE NEAR THE TOP IN VIOLATIONS THAT HONOR AND CLIMBING FROM 2 TO 1 IS THE AU AT MANURE PILE – LOOK IT UP

  24. CAM NEWTON IS KODI BURNS ALL OVER AGAIN IF U R LUCKY…AU 3-5 SEC RECORD…28 OF 100 2011 TOP CROOTS AU HAS 6

  25. NOT A SNOWBALL CHANCE IN HELL – AU WINS 4 SEC GAMES IN 2010 – CONSENSUS BOTTOM HALF OF SEC WEST – LOOK IT UP

  26. Oh I’m sorry cappy, I got confused. I thought you said that Newton wasn’t “any good at all”. Now you’re just saying that Newton isn’t “as good as AU thinks”. (whatever that means).

No, Rollison isn’t the second coming. You’re confusing him with Jimmy Barnes and Star Jackson.

  27. Cappy you’re wrong. When a kid does what Cam did, the coaches hands are tied. He had no choice but get rid of him. It had nothing to do with his talent level.
Now that he has been “rehabilitated”, and has “matured” and is out to make the most of his “second chance” (have I forgotten a cliche?), Auburn will most likely benefit from his talent. And that’s just fine with me. It’s all about the W’s.

  28. Right. Because Urban Meyer is known for getting rid of student-athletes who cross the line and get into trouble with the law.

    He’s principled like that.

  29. (And I know you didn’t but a bunch came on here like arrogant pricks telling me I was wrong and he didn’t steal…I’m still laughing at those guys.)

  30. And I firmly believe if Newton were as good as AU folks think he is, he would’ve entered the pre-trial diversion program and then after a bit been back on the team after a short stay in purgatory.

  31. And AUROX that is refreshingly honest. If there is one thing that annoys me about Alabama, Auburn and every school’s fans in the SEC is the inability to admit that college and even now high school sports lost its virginity long ago.

  32. Cappy…..you know, Saban is probably the best thing that’s happened to Auburn football in quite a while. Auburn has got a “win at all costs” attitude like I haven’t seen in many years, because of saban. I’ve always complained that Auburn lost that attitude when they became more concerned with being “classy” than winning ball games. There’s nothing classy about losing.

For that, I thank saban for lighting the fire under Auburn’s ass again!

  33. “Classy” is one of those terms that is used so much it makes me want to puke. When I want to succeed at something, I don’t read Miss Manners…I read Machiavelli.

  34. cam after deciding to go to miss st – got a financial offer from au – then went to miss st and tn to get their financial offer….the cam nut did not fall very far from the nut tree… look it up

  35. the national championship for bama fans means ooming businesses, raises, promotions hottest women, wives get in best shape of their lives, and much more…everything u touch turns to gold.
bama fans win in two thousand and ten.

  36. Wrong AUROX. If the 36-0 had shocked the Barn awake, they would have hired someone besides a paltry 2 million dollar 5-19 head coach. The prognosis that he may actually be a quality hire is nothing more than blind luck. And insisting that at this point he already is, is pure fantasy. Regardless of whether he becomes as successful as Jordan, Dye and Tuberville and whether he wins an Iron Bowl or 2; I will put my weeks earnings against yours that Abarn does not win a national championship while Saban is at Bama or before 2050 for that matter. Your best shot was with your best ever coach while we were on scholly limitations, and you blew it. You guys are really setting yourselves up for a horrible heartbreak by forcasting Cheezy as the second coming of Knute, Ara, Darrell, Bud, Bear, Steve and Tom. It aint happening. RTR!

  37. So Newton (Mr. 5 Star) impressed the folks from auburn with his stellar season at Blinn Community college in Texas. Big deal.
This is the SEC. Huge difference there.
Auburn has recruited something like 12 quarterbacks in the last 3 years. And they still dont have a proven winner. Of course that is Auburn isnt it.
Recruiting 5 star players they dont need and over looking the trenches.
Of course auburn needed a 5 star back this season, and he will look mighty fine running behind that 1 star offensive line.
And oh yeah. Back to Newton.
The guy swiped a laptop. Thats pretty classless. I know those 5 stars looked good on AUs recruiting rankings and that
it gave Aubur a fine looking class on paper. But that is where Auburn always messes up. They always grab the flash in the pan that has the strings attached.
Usually it is academics, but it seems every time Auburn lands the big fish, he gets away.
I expect nothing different this time either. In 4 years this class will mostly be gone and not made a real dent in the SEC.

  38. I guess what I am trying to say is, It does not matte if a family of underacheivers watch each other’s back and support each other. They are still underachievers.
    WDL!!!
    (War Damn Lemmings!)

  39. “So Newton (Mr. 5 Star) impressed the folks from auburn with his stellar season at Blinn Community college in Texas. Big deal.
This is the SEC. Huge difference there.”

And highly touted QBs get recruited based on their stellar performances in HIGH SCHOOL every year.

    What’s your point?

  40. tmc, did you seriously just say a “1 star offensive line?” Do you know what school had the highest rated offensive line recruiting class in the country last year? Auburn. Do you know who’s returning 4 out of 5 starters this year? Auburn. Gee, who will fill in that 5th spot?? Shon Coleman?? Eric Mack?? Rozell Gayden?? Maybe one of the other 4 O-linemen on the roster with significant playing time??

  41. julio……If the idiot cares to do a little research, he will see that the core group of seniors (minus Chaz Ramsey) were ranked as the #1 class accrding to rivals when they were recruited in 07. So, if your going to go by the star system , they are supposed to be the best.

To crack on our O-line is brick wall stupid. It will be the strongest point of the team next year.

  42. I, for one, could not honestly tell you if Auburn had a 1 star or 5 star on the offensive line. Hell, I didn’t even know who Trooper Taylor was till someone explained he is an Auburn coach or associated with Auburn in some way. I didn’t know what was happening at Auburn till I came on this site. If I want Auburn news, I would get the sugar coated propaganda they sell on the Aubies site. As it is, when I come to this site, I want to know what is going on with Bama. Is anyone else here sick of hearing about Auburn? I mean, what is there to talk about? Its not like they’ve done anything spectacular. I want to hear stories about the current and defending National Champions, not some second rate program.

  43. Well 13 the news on bama is all good, typical off season stuff. Not as many guys getting in trouble as in Shula’s stay. Nothing really going on as fun as making fun of Trooper and Luper riding around in the pooper scooper. Bottom line, if Bama can stay healthy in 2010 they’ll have a great season, and further train some great players. I did find out that D.J. Fluker is probably going to start. One of his O-line coaches in high school is a friend of mine. He’s a really nice and polite young man as well, and damn big too. The process is working well for him, he’s dropped some baby fat and packed on some muscle, and picked up some speed too. Do I think Bama will go undefeated in 2010? I don’t know, but it will be hard to do. Focusing for that long is hard. I do know that Bama will win 13 more NC’s before Auburn cracks the top 2 at the end of any given season.

  44. in the other sites the oline was rated mediocre ……coleman – poor work ethic and under 300# and 6’7″….rollisons dad taking the money and running – more of that to come….and take out poor passer newton and u get a load of quanity no quality….au football is a sham

  45. nope – mom is english , dad – was irish…nope very high iq…u just can’t handle the truth..au fball is a scam – see the light u stupid ignorant slut…

  46. nope – no convictions…crimson as in the alabama crimson tide – the greatest football program in world history

  47. Yeah, I can see where that really hurt us. (Not). That off week was criticals and almost won the Iron Bowl.

  48. CRIMINAL HAMMAH BRUSH YOUR TOOTH TODAY. THE MEMPHIS POLICE ARE GOING TO OPEN THE LOGAN YOUNG MURDER CASE BACK UP.
COLD CASE FILES HAD A SHOW ABOUT THE MURDER OF LOGAN YOUNG MONDAY NIGHT.OLE MAL AND WHO EVER HE HIRED TO KILL YOUNG SHOULD BE WORRIED.PAYING PLAYERS,BUYING HOMES FOR PLAYERS MAMMIES IS ONE THING BUT MURDER.

  49. Comparing Newton to Kodi Burns is not very fair at all. Anyone with half a brain can watch Newton’s throwing motion and mechanics and tell that he is a better passer than Burns. I said for 3 years that Burns was not a good QB and was never the solution.

As far as breaking in new QBs, Bama broke in McElroy and was just fine. McElroy is not a great QB, but plays smart and does not get you beat. As a matter of fact, I would go as far to say that he and John Parker Wilson are probably the two worst QBs to ever QB an SEC title game. But hey, it works for Bama.

As far as Chizik being a paltry “5-19” coach, I wouldn’t trade Gene Chizik for 10 Nick Sabans and 10 national championships because Chizik is a nice person who treats people with respect, while Saban, although a great football coach, is an asshole. Can Chizik do great things at Auburn? You damn right he can.
    WAR DAMN EAGLE

  50. ball u stupid ignorant slut – u lost and u lost last 6 of 7 …maybe u should think of what the open date is supposed to be about

  51. the crimnson hammah has never had a cavity – so apparently brushing teeth once a week and twice on sundays is sufficient…

  52. absolutely not – no one can do great things at au – that place is cursed…and if anyone had any sense the would get every aints bag available

  53. did not see the logan young deal but in any murder conspiracy all should expose all and then get the death penatly

  54. nope – my dad was not a bitch…and i don’t use a crystal ball… i watch film and break it down.

  55. XIII:

It’s back to business in T-Town, and there ante a god damn thing that anyone can do about it.

You might as well get use to it.
    It is, what it is.
If any of you Auburn Basement-Dwellers are still in dinial; ask a Texas Fan who won the National Championship.

We all now have one thing in common.
None of us will become relevent until September.

I would suggest that everyone get’s their lazy-ass to work.
We are not satisfied with just 13 National Championships.
    Tomorrow is another day.

  56. As I read the above ….I realized something…. That is 20 seconds of my life I will never ger back.

    Hammah……..nevermind.

  57. Well, Auburn is not satisfied with an 8-5 record. If you recall, Auburn was the third most winningest program in the country from 2000-2009. Auburn was at its best when Gene Chizik was running the defense. Now, he is the head man and we are headed back in the right direction.

    WAR DAMN EAGLE

  58. ABSOLUTELY NOT – BARN WAS A PROBATION MIRAGE ….LOOK AT THE 90S WHEN BAMA NOT ON PROBATION – BAMA 5 OF 8 SEC WEST TITLES BARN 1 ,,,,BAMA NOT PROBATION DAMAGED IN THE 00S – 2 OF 2 SEC WEST TITLES …BARN A ZERO AND BACK TO BACK WHAT 3 5 SEC RECORD AT BEST….OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE THE LIGHT AU FBALL IS A SCAM

  59. You forget, crimson hammah, that Auburn was on probation in the 90s. You can’t “have” your cake and “eat” it too. If Bama can use probation as an excuse for struggles in the 00’s, we can use it for the 90s. Auburn would have won two more western division titles in 93 and 94 if not for probation. Bammer and Florida played for the SEC in 93. Auburn beat them both that season.

As for the 00’s, Auburn did win two western division titles. In 2000, and in 2004, when we won the SEC and went 13-0. Get it straight now…

  60. I GOTIT RIGHT.. MY FACTS CONCERNING AU WERE WHEN BAMA WAS NOT DAMAGED BY PROBATION …1 SEC WEST FOR AU 92-99 08-09…

  61. UR FACTS ARE WRONG….BAMA WON 94 IB AND WAS UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE…AU TIED GA AND LOST TO BAMA….BAMA 7-3 VS AU IN 90S INCLUDING SCISSUM FIASCO …DOMINATON STEPS UP ….BAMA VS AU IN THE 70S 8-2 INCLUDING PUNT BAMA PUNT FIASCO

  62. YO! Since we’re chatting about the team from the Village, I’ll make a prediction concerning the 2010 season. AU will go 8-4. 3 home losses & 1 road loss. Home losses will be to Clemson, South Carolina & Arkansas. The road-kill happens in Tuscaloosa. That’s the way I see it as of now, but I might change my mind between now & June 1.

  63. YO! “Crimson Hammah,” get your facts straight. AU doesn’t play West Virginia this season. Give credit where credit is due. They HAVE recruited some talent & they HAVE GOT some talent coming back. AU ain’t at Alabama’s level yet, but if they come back with a second straight Top 10 class they WILL be a force to be reckoned with. One question; who made you “the chosen one?”

  64. MY BAD – 2-6 IN THE SEC…NO AU WILL NOT BE A FORCE…GOD ALMIGHTY MADE ME THE CHOSEN ONE…BUT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE

  65. I’m so burned out on all this — how much shit talking can both sides do until September??? I can’t imagine threads going like this for months on end.

Crystal bitches … and more to come. RTR.

  66. YO! “Crimson Hammah,” so YOU are the “Chosen One?!” What have you been CHOSEN to do? Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ or preach the gospel of Alabama football according to “Crimson Hammah?” I’m waiting for an answer.

  67. Oh my God. People like Crimson Hammah are why I always pull against Alabama. You have nothing better to do than talk shit about Auburn. Well, you are wrong about 93. Auburn would have been in Atlanta in 93 but for probation. I was wrong about 94. If Auburn isn’t on probation, Auburn wins the West twice in the 90s, 93 and 97. Bama wins it in 92, 94, 96, and 99. Auburn won it in 00 and in 04. Bama won it in 08 and 09.

As for next season, I feel mighty confident with our schedule. I don’t see three homes losses so I will respectfully disagree with the Bammer from St. Clair. Bammer, you are usually fairly objective. I almost don’t consider you a “Bammer.” Just a “Bama fan.” haha

  68. The COW COLLEGE better get ready for a AZZ WHOPPING at “BRYANT-DENNY-SABAN” Stadium this year.

The Tide want have too look over their shoulder (foam at the mouth) at FLORIDA while getting ready for the COW COLLEGE this year!

Because every goal has been completed!

You COW COLLEGE people are going to get an AZZ WHOPPING at “BRYANT-DENNY-SABAN” in front of 101,000 people (most ever in ALABAMA)!!! It will be embarrassing!!!

You can tell your new “FIRST” year SEC College QB starter CAM NEWTON that. Being a TWO year junior college QB starter is the same as playing at Bevill State or Shelton State for two years. (Not anywhere close to the BIG BOYS).

Since 4 STAR QB Tyrik Rollison decide to leave GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE COUNTY (AUBURN), I guess that drops the COW COLLEGE all the way “out” of the top 25 2009 football recruiting classes!!

    13 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS !!!

    22 SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS !!!

    HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER !!!

    ROLL TIDE CRIMSON BROTHERS !!!

  69. Wow Crimson Brother. My IQ just dropped 30 points for actually getting on here and reading that.
