After visiting Los Angeles to give USC an official visit this past weekend, Tuesday Arie Kouandjio decided to give his verbal commitment a day before National Signing Day.
Tuesday Arie Kouandjio told S.I.com, “Alabama just felt like a good situation, like the right place to be,” Kouandjio said. “I liked everything about the school.”
Kouandjio cited Alabama’s closer proximity to home as one of the reasons for his decision. When the Capstone Report spoke with Arie Kouandjio last week, he cited several additional things he liked about the Alabama Crimson Tide. “The Fan support was the #1 thing that I noticed and that amazing how they love their football at Alabama,” he said. “Coach Saban and the staff will play a big factor. Coach Saban is a great man and all about business. If I decide to play for him, I will leave a better man. I also love the stadium, the academics , and a chance to be part of a championship! Coach Sal is recruiting me and we have an awesome relationship.”
Kouandjio is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com. Kouandjio was a U.S. Army All-American as a senior. Arie Kouandjio’s stats: 6’5”, 325 lbs., Bench 330 lbs., Squat 600 lbs., 40 time: 5.4”.
Kouandjio said he will sign with the Tide at 9 a.m. Eastern time. Next year, his brother, Cyrus Kouandjio (6’7”, 322 lbs.) (OT) is expected to be one of the top players in the country.

Keenan Allen.

Yeah yeah — Keenan Allen and ANOTHER wasted scholarship for his half-brother. **** that — just because Alabama didn’t want to waste a precious scholarship on some shitty basketball talent of a half-brother — doesn’t mean we didn’t “lose out”.
Hell — Anthony Grant probably said “I can’t do anything with this”.
We are not the University of California — we can’t afford to “waste” a scholarship on a half-brother so he can play basketball.
Crystal bitches…
Oh — have fun with Washington and both Oregons — they’ll be running the PAC-10 for awhile due to USC’s NZAA upcoming fiasco.
