Ballplay, you are without a doubt the classiest Auburn fan in the room, maybe on the planet. I agree withyour first post on this page. Hell-bent iron bowls are the best kind, it’s good for the national recognition of the rivalry. As far as some of your underlings(julia, AUforever), I aint cuttin’ ‘em no slack, they whine and make excuses, and try to twist what IS into some bullshit.

Cap, look back at that 07 class and see who actually qualified. I think after attrition it was like the #27 class. Tubbs could never get em to qualify , wich is one of the reasons we got em in the first place.

Wildboy, it took Saban two years. If we keep it up and get a real D-coordinator it might take us 2 more at most.

Allbarn needs to land a few more classes to even get close. Again Alabama lands a superior class on defense. They will be flying all over the place, with pad popping hits on defense for years to come.

Yeah — I remember when Aubarn booed their “head coach” when he arrived but won them over. They are just so damn proud of what’s going on down at the plains. Do I believe they are getting paid — nope — I mean not with any connections to the University on paper, phone records or boosters … even serial numbers on cash flow are being looked at carefully down on the plains to make sure those serial numbers are circulated in different locations — anyways — congrats Aubarn — you finally will get some depth like the ALPHA program in the state — that’s why you got a great recruiting class

The stories I’ve heard make him sound horrible. His ego and behavior toward his superior at Arkansas was a testament to how pathetic his character is. When you can’t get along with a man of integrity like Houston Nutt, then you know something is wrong!

One of the things I find interesting is that AU fans are going crazy for this year’s talent. Didn’t Tuberville land several top 10 classes?

I think 2007 was a #7 class or something like that and 2006 was in the Top ten.

What makes this class different? The only thing that does is the HOPE that this staff can do something. I still believe Tuberville was a better coach and had a better coaching staff. Tuberville never lost to Urban Meyer did he? How many big games did Tuberville win? How many times with inferior talent?

So while you have hope for the future, you’ve still traded in an above average coach for a guy that isn’t anywhere as good as Tuberville. Period.

Great class bama…It will be another great year for you all. Though it is a major accomplishment for AU to land the recruits we landed, we still have a huge gap in talent to make up. If we can land another top 5-10 class in the next two years, we should see some slobberknocker Iron bowls in the future.
