The rating was up 9 percent from last season’s Utah-Alabama Sugar Bowl and up 57 percent from the BCS game on New Year’s night a year ago, the Virginia Tech-Cincinnati Orange Bowl.

Ohio State’s 26-17 victory over Oregon in the Rose Bowl on ABC earned a 13.1 fast national rating, up 12 percent from last year. (read the entire story embedded below)
