AP: Freshman Tony Mitchell scored 17 points and Mikhail Torrance added 15 to lead Alabama to a 73-51 victory over North Florida on Wednesday night.

Mitchell, who also had seven rebounds, left the game with 9:25 to go because of a swollen left knee. He hit the floor hard after going up for a rebound and is day-to-day. (read the entire AP story embedded in this post on the website).

As soon as football season’s over (because I just can’t keep up with it all) — I am pumped up about Anthony Grant & Co. — he’s got this team re-focused and he’s utilizing talent off the bench with his depth — something Mark Gottfriend WOULD NEVER DO!!! Folks — we are going to the tourney this year — I’m not saying we’ll do a Final Four run — but I see Sweet Sixteen minimum.
