Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said Mark Ingram should be ready for the SEC Championship Game.

“We feel like he’ll be fine for the game,” Nick Saban said Sunday during the SEC teleconference.

Saban said the injury happened late in the ballgame, so there wasn’t a chance for Ingram to return. He said these types of injuries are often painful, and the staff would be watching the Crimson Tide football star going forward this week.

The hip pointer happened when a helmet hit Ingram in the hip during the Iron Bowl.

  1. I know the will of Ingram. Even if he is 75% — we’ll still get production out of him. Oh — and don’t forget — Trent Richardson, the “backup”.

  2. I honestly think that Mark came up with somethin’ to justify having a bad game this week. But I think he’s gonna be ready to rock and roll this week against florida.

  3. Nope. He came up against an Auburn D that sold out every time he was in the game.

We had a very conservative game plan to win regular season game #12. Next week’s game opens the door for all the marbles, and going aggressive wouldn’t have served our long term purposes very well. All the marbles lie in Pasadena, and to get there we have to take care of Florida. Beating a 7-4 opponent in game #12 simply meant adding another scalp to the meat pole. That it was Auburn was just a bonus.

  4. Yeah , right. A 100% Ingram and a 100% Richardson gat what ? About 60-70 yards between both of em…..You know Floridas defense is #1 to boot, right ? I see a beatdown comin for the Tide.

  5. Yeah ITK, AU was the first team all year that loaded the box to stop Ingram. No other team ever thought of doing that before.
