Don Kausler Jr. and Kevin Scarbinsky of the Birmingham News revealed MORE information regarding Curtis Anderson’s involvement in the eligibility fiasco involving Alabama Crimson Tide stars Julio Jones, Mark Ingram and now Jerrell Harris. According to the report, Jones and Ingram received “more” than the fishing trip. You can read the entire report at al.com.

Anderson refused to answer questions for this latest report.

This stands in contrast to Anderson’s willingness to comment earlier in August when interviewed by Kevin Scarbinsky, and comments given to the press immediately following the reinstatement of Jones’ and Ingram’s eligibility.

Also making news Thursday was Alabama football coach Nick Saban’s revelation that University of Alabama president Robert Witt made the trip to Indianapolis to speak with the NCAA. Saban revealed that information on his radio show Thursday evening.

Anderson’s growing role, and Witt’s direct involvement raise new questions. Dr. Witt did not fly to Miami when Nick Saban was hired as Alabama’s coach. Why the trip to Indianapolis to consult over something as routine as an eligibility issue?

The Anderson mystery grows deeper by the day.
