From UA: ALABAMA ANNOUNCES 2010 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
Tuscaloosa – A marquee intersectional matchup with Penn State, the opening of the newly-expanded Bryant-Denny Stadium, a clash with the Florida Gators and a home schedule that includes several traditional Southeastern Conference rivals highlights the 2010 University of Alabama football schedule officially released Wednesday.

The Crimson Tide’s 12-game regular season schedule features clashes at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa with traditional SEC foes Florida, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Auburn, in addition to non-conference battles with San Jose State, Penn State and Georgia State.

Four of the five road games will be against SEC opponents: at Arkansas (Sept. 25), at South Carolina (Oct. 9), at Tennessee (Oct. 23) and at LSU (Nov. 6), with a non-conference matchup against Duke University in Durham, N.C., is the other road game on the schedule.

The Crimson Tide will enjoy three consecutive home games in November to wrap up the regular season slate. The 2010 SEC Football Championship Game is slated to be held Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The weekend of Saturday, Oct. 30, will serve as Alabama’s open date for the 2010 season.

The Crimson Tide, coming off a 12-2 record in 2008, opens the 2009 season Saturday, September 5, against Virginia Tech in the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Central Time (8 p.m. Eastern Time in Atlanta).
