Need a few things to read this morning? Here you go:

BamaOnline: “By not enrolling for the fall term, Orr’s move is one of several factors that have helped UA to reach the NCAA-mandated limit of 85 scholarship players. … More roster news may be yet to come, perhaps as early as Thursday morning, when UA coach Nick Saban addresses reporters at SEC Media Days.”

Scout.com: “Anthony Orr, a 6-5, 260-pound defensive lineman from Sparkman in Madison, is not on the roster. As expected, Quinton Dial, a 6-5, 310-pound defensive lineman from Clay-Chalkville in Pinson, was also not on the roster. … Although it can’t be known for sure which players are on the one-year NCAA scholarships, it appears there are approximately 92. The number must be 85 when Alabama reports for fall camp on August 5 for the beginning of practice on August 6.”

Recruiting via ESPN: Brian Vogler committed to the Crimson Tide Wednesday. He is included on the ESPNU 150 Watch List. ESPN’s review is available at the link. Here is a sample of what the scouts had to say: “He can get the job done now, but more consistency in his technique will allow him to be a very productive blocker. Does a good job of working up to the second level. Vogler is a good tight end prospect. He can produce in both phases and could be a weapon in the red zone.”

Recruiting: “Another day, another big-time announcement involving the Crimson Tide. Around noon (CST) Thursday, Rivals250 member Corey Grant will make his long-awaited decision between Alabama, Auburn and Florida during a ceremony at Opelika High School.”

The Rap Sheet has images of this year’s Alabama Crimson Tide media covers. You can also find a rundown of the numbers assigned to Alabama’s incoming freshmen at the Rap Sheet.

BCS: Changes to the BCS could take as long as five years. While the SEC was counting its cash, the MWC was complaining about how unfair the capitalist system is. (Read the AP story embedded below.)
