A Chinese tycoon wants to build a new car plant in Alabama, Reuters reported from Hong Kong. According to the report a source told Reuters, “The Alabama government definitely welcomes the plan as the new firm, which owns big land in the state, will build a plant there and hire local workers.”

The good news, the plant should create thousands of jobs if it happens.

The bad news, “he has hired a former senior executive of top U.S. carmaker General Motors Corp to run the firm’s daily operations,” according to Reuters. That doesn’t inspire confidence. Also, the project interests Al Gore. That doesn’t inspire confidence either.

  1. I can promise you if the former GM pres accepts THIS job that they will get every penny out of him. Chinese dont play that. Al Gore is probably just trying to make a buck.

  2. Lookie Lookie Lookie, Where is Cookie?
