What’s up with Nick Saban? Is he getting complacent? Did 12-2 satisfy the Alabama Crimson Tide coach?

Maybe.

Or maybe since head coaches are required to stay home during the spring evaluation period, Nick Saban was forced to find new ways to spend his time. During the last week, the Alabama coach did two very non-football, non-process things—he started the Talladega race and he starred in a movie.

According to the Bama Beat blog the Crimson Tide coach said, “You know, I had two out-of-body expreriences — starting the race at Talladega on Sunday and being a part of a movie on Friday. I’ve never done either one of those things and they were really experiences. I don’t know if I’d want to sign up for them again but I enjoyed both.”

Saban played himself in the movie The Blind Side. The movie synopsis according to IMDB: “A poor, oversized and under-educated teenager is recruited by a major college football program where he is groomed into an athletically and academically successful NFL prospect. Based on Michael Lewis’ book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.”

Also in the movie are football coaches Phil Fulmer and Ed Orgeron, according to Clay Travis at Fanhouse.
