  1. Star is sucking it up isnt he ? 5 interceptions for 27 completions ? Either your defense is great (real possibility) or your quarterbacks are green. (real possibility)..

  2. Our top three backs aren’t even playing right now (Ingram: injured…Upchurch: injured…Richardson: in high school). Our starting left tackle is also in high school in Mobile. Without a strong running game good quarterbacks look average. With one, good quarterbacks can look great. Get those four guys in pads and watch out.

But yes, our defense is great and will only get better as the year goes along. We have more depth on defense than we’ve had in y-e-a-r-s. Finally.

  3. BI, I expect this year’s D to be better than last year and Nico and Tana are not even their yet, expect both of them to contribute big time. You saw what Hightower did his fr. year, he will be in backfields more than most qb’s this year as a pass rusher. Not bragging, just a fact.

  4. One more great recruiting class and Saban will have Bama in the position of reloading a great group of players every year. And the luxury of redshirting some great talent to get a year into the program before wasting a year having to learn the system very fast. This years D has the potential to be one of the greats in Bamas history. I would say talent wise, it could exceed the 1992 Bama D and the 2004 Auburn D, with the number of blue chip recruits on the roster. I don’t think I have ever seen Alabama or Auburn with more than a couple of 5 star prospects on the same team. This coming year Bama will have at least 8 5 star rated recruits on the same team. I know that has worked out well for LSU and USC.
