Lots of links for a Monday morning, so right to it.

McCullough gets time at LT
Alfred McCullough was a great signee for the Alabama Crimson Tide, but he hasn’t found the best spot. Maybe that has changed. According to the Bama Beat, “Redshirt sophomore Alfred McCullough has gone from the defensive line to offensive guard to now the most high-profile and pressure-packed position on the offensive line.” McCullough is talented, and is a good individual—hopefully, he’ll find the right spot and get some playing time.

Nick Saban is in a good mood
Ian Rapoport at the Rap Sheet details Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban’s spring mood—Saban looks like he is happy. Can you believe it? In other business, the Rap Sheet shares Saban’s thoughts on what has happened to spring games. It has become an arms race. “All this promotional stuff they’re doing to try to beat us on spring game attendance,” said Saban, whose first A-Day game was watched by more than 92,000 fans. “It’s amazing. Like it’s an arms race.”

Georgia recruit commits to Alabama
Blake Sims committed to Alabama and Nick Saban Saturday. Sims was a quarterback target of UGA, according to the AJC. Sims video highlights below:

Antoine Caldwell could be fit for Patriots
Alabama center Antoine Caldwell could be a fit for the New England Patriots, according to the Providence Journal. Caldwell was a four-year starter, played center and got snaps at other line positions, and is a model citizen. However, the best thing could be his coach. “Caldwell was one of the best interior linemen in the country, but he also has something other players don’t: He played for Nick Saban over the past two years, and Bill Belichick trusts Saban. If Caldwell gets the seal of approval from Saban, he’d more than likely pass muster for Belichick as well.”

Tuberville earns honor
Tommy Tuberville will be honored as the Chilton Auburn Club’s Unsung Hero. “This year it just seemed appropriate to give it to coach Tuberville because of all he’s done,” Auburn Chilton club president Charles Bates told the Clanton Advertiser. “I was afraid that he wouldn’t accept it because he’s not involved with Auburn anymore. Once he accepted, that was a unanimous choice.”
