The Alabama Crimson Tide held its first scrimmage of spring practice Wednesday in Tuscaloosa. Here are the stats released by media relations. One interesting bit is the lack of Mark Ingram’s name. According to the Rap Sheet, Ingram was riding the injury bike. According to the Rap Sheet, “Ingram’s exact injury is not clear, but for him to miss a scrimmage, figure it had to be fairly serious.”

Let the fun begin as fans and blogs examine the quarterback statistics.

  1. Pretty clear who the frontrunner at quarterback is .

  2. Yep. A lot of people (Bama fans) are already getting behind Star Jackson and believing that McElroy is just like JPW. I don’t understand the logic of it. McElroy has been there for a while now, he was a pretty good HS QB in a tough division to play through in Texas, but yet Star Jackson is considered better in a lot of peoples eyes. I haven’t seen enough of Jackson to say he is better than McElroy yet. I am sure he will be good when his turn comes, but Star Jackson will not start unless McElroy gets hurt or something. But overall, the QB situation at Alabama is in pretty good shape. It is the OL that I am worried about, but Saban has stocked up there as well. Just need some experience there.
