Memphis players love the Alabama Crimson Tide. That is the word one quarterback prospect told TiderInsider.com. According to the Memphis area quarterback Barry Brunetti, “All of the Memphis guys like Alabama a lot,” Brunetti told Tider Insider($). “There’s a chance that a lot of the top Memphis player might go there. That’s got me to thinking about Alabama a lot.”

Lance Thompson and Lane Kiffin better get to work on that fence. Maybe a fence isn’t enough? Perhaps a wall?

  1. YAWN

Not obsessed. Enjoying making fun of that idiot you have pretending to be a coach.

  2. I guess this pretty much puts an end to the theory that all Vile fans are morons.

Viles, do you guys honestly think Lame Kiffin is the equivalent of Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Mark Richt, and Steve Spurrier? After all four coaches hang 90 on you guys this year, will that be enough to change your delusional minds? I’m sure even Bobby Johnson is somewhere anticipating that game at the season’s end.

Don’t worry, we’re all licking our chops, waiting to get a piece of your joke of a coach.

And as the puke orange incests would say, “LANE KIFFIN WILL WIN NASHUNAL CHAMPONCHIP IN TOO YEERZ! I LOVE LAME KIFFIN… GREATEST COACH EVUR!!!!11”

  3. I wonder why Memphi$ player$ love the Tide so much? I’m sure that car$ ca$h and job$ for their coache$ have ab$olutely nothing to do with it. Wait, wa$n’t it one of those Memphi$ connection$ that got you guy$ on probation?

  4. It was certainly cash for Tee Martin, Mr.Stonethrower aka CarlosHawes. But Benedict Fulmer was able to take the heat off Tenn and put it on someone the NCAA hates worse. So save your breath with the cash, cars and jobs Einstein.

  5. Yeah yeah, and there was a second gunman on the grassy knoll, aliens built the pyramids, Elvis is still alive working at a 7-11, a UFO crashed at Roswell and the moon landings were faked.

Gotta love those silly conspiracy theories.

  6. Elvis actually works at the Advance Auto Parts store on CenterPoint Parkway.

He drives a bright yellow 72 Thunderbird.

  7. I dont know whats more pathetic. Kiffin, or the fact that a Tide blog is so obsessed with Kiffin…that it has dedicated a “Kiffin Watch” in his dishonor.

  8. Thats what makes this all so funny. The comment sections on these sites actually make people think that their opinions matter. Go to other team sites and its mainly about their teams, yet here its as much Kiffin as they can get. And when news is slow they go back and put together an article out of old stuff just to get back on page one of the google news search engine again. (Thats ok Im working on getting a “satire” tag slapped on this site for google news anyway)

  9. News is slow? LOL Alabama is in the middle of a major coaching search and spring practice. However, Kiffin remains a national story, and since every news outlet is writing about him…or making fun of him…it seem reasonable we should keep fans appraised of the situation too.

BTW, this isn’t old. It was brand new as that QB recruit just said that about Alabama. It serves as an indication both for the good in recruiting, and the comedy of what is going on in Knoxville.

And one last thing, this isn’t the only SEC site with sufficient attention paid to Lane Kiffin. You’ll find plenty of others having fun at the boy blunder’s expense.

  10. One other thing, I can tell the truth is getting to you since you are trying to negatively portray this site.

Thanks for reading, and keep coming back since I know you appreciate we report the truth—something you can’t get elsewhere. 🙂

  11. That is alright Carlos. As I recall, Tennessee was involved in that also. Only when they didn’t get the guy, Tennessee cried foul. But that was a long time ago. Don’t it suck for you guys. Everyone knows Tennessee isn’t exactly overflowing in HS football talent, and what good players they have rather go somewhere else. Saban doesn’t even have to cheat to get good players. He has a good reputation with the NCAA, and has never been in trouble for illegally recruiting like you TN and AU goobs like to fantasize. Typical Tennessee/Auburn excuse. At least try to be original.

  12. The truth: Alabama was placed under NCAA sanctions and probation for major violations involving recruitment in the Memphis area

The Truth: Tennessee has to my knowledge never been placed under NCAA sanctions and probation for any recruiting violations.

The Truth: No new players from the Memphis area have announced comitments to UA in the past couple of weeks. All that we have is an article at a for pay website saying that one Memphis area player says a lot of area players like the tide. (ie no apparent fence breaches as implied in the headline).

Myth, innuendo and conspiracy theory: Phil Fulmer somehow made some deal with the NCAA to sock it to Bama related to some agreement to overlook violations at Tennessee.

  13. Memphis is politically part of TN but it has always culturally, politically and behaviorally acted like an entity unto itself. Interesting geographic tidbit: If you stand in Johnson City TN in the upper corner of the state, you are actually closer to Canada than you are Memphis. Get a map and check it out, I didn’t believe it myself until I looked it up.

And don’t forget, Phil Fulmer isn’t really gone, he’s just switched hats so he can watch you clowns like a hawk in an undercover capacity. And he still has his steely eagle gaze firmly on Memphis. He’ll get you yet my pretties, and your little dog too!!!

  15. Wow Carlos, did I strike a nerve? 3 posts of excuses from you. No one here really gives a shit about Tennessee. We just like to point and laugh at you. You want to defend your favorite school, and that is your right. But Alabama has every right to go into Memphis and recruit. That doesn’t mean they are cheating. Alabama will get more than their fair share out of Tennessee if they choose to do so. They have proven that point already. It was one of your coaches that boasted about putting a fence around the place. If he can’t do that, then he is looking as idiotic as his boss does. What will you do if Tennessee gets caught cheating with Kiffin, since he obviously really don’t know the rule book? Blame it on Bammer?

Tennessee football has been in decline for a long time now. Fulmer would have been fired year before last if he hadn’t backed into the SEC championship game. 10 years of mediocrity since the NC. Several SEC teams have surpassed TN in just the past 5 years. And to top it all off, you guys have hired a totally unproven HC that is young AND likes to talk smack a lot. Karma is coming to Tennessee and you fans are cheering it on. This is going to be a great football season, too bad you TN fans will be ready to give up the season after the first 3 ball games.

  16. Tennessee football achieved as much in 07 as Bammer did in 08. Thay made it to the SEC champ game didnt they.

  17. Yeah Ballplay they did make it to the SECCG. But they did lose a lot of games that year also. They took a 20+ point beatdown from Bama that year too. It took several teams to breakdown late to get Tennessee there. Fulmer would have been fired that year if it wasn’t for TN backing into the SECCG. I sure am glad they waited another year though, or they may not have hired Kiffin. I say it is a race between Tennessee and Auburn for who finishes dead last in the conference this year.
