The 2009 Alabama 2009 coaching clinic boasts some big names including Tom Osborne, Derek Dooley, Jason Garrett, Stan Hixon and Ozzie Newsome.

“The annual coaching clinic is one of our favorite events of the year. We are looking forward to hearing from some outstanding coaches and spending some time sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas to enhance professional development at all levels,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban in a release from UA. “We have a great lineup of speakers again this year which will include several of the region’s championship-winning high school coaches.”

Tom Osborne bio from the clinic brochure
Legendary hall of famer, former head coach and current athletic director at the University of Nebraska, Tom Osborne is one of the most respected coaches in the history of college football. In the 25 years with Osborne at the helm, the Huskers captured 3 national championships, 13 conference crowns, 25 bowl appearances, while no team won fewer than nine games in a season. In the classroom, Osborne’s teams were just as successful with a total of 65 academic All-Americans. Widely known for his leadership, integrity, honor and compassion, Tom and his wife Nancy founded the “teammates” program, which provides support and encouragement to schoolaged youth with the goal of seeing children graduate from high school and pursue a postsecondary education.

Looks like fun. So any high school coaches out there going?
