Lane Kiffin will pay for his Thursday attack on Florida coach Urban Meyer and Alabama coach Nick Saban, Paul Finebaum said on the Dan Patrick Show.

“He will pay for this…He will pay dearly,” Finebaum said. “When you get Nick Saban and Urban Meyer on the same side, they will get this guy.

“Here is how they will get him, everyone cheats. We know that. You can find something this guy did wrong very quickly, and what you’ll have now is 8 or 9 SEC coaches turning him in every time he walks down the sidewalk on the wrong side.”

Finebaum summed up Kiffin in one statement early in the conversation. “You’ve got someone that is clearly in over his head,” he said.

Finebaum’s criticism of Kiffin has generated some negative reaction by Volunteer fans.

“Tennessee fans are upset because I am telling the truth,” Finebaum said. “Tennessee fans should worry more about their little out of control petulant child, Lane Kiffin, than worry about me.”

  1. We LOVE Kiffin…can’t wait to treat him with the same respect we showed Fulmer. Or less.
Its a real shame his Dad bit in on the deal…unless he’s ready for the rocking chair, and THAT won’t be long, and it won’t be due to his incompetence…leave that to his brat.
    I can’t wait until September….
Orange and Blue here, we believe in Urban Meyer…period.

  2. There is no doubt that SEC Media days in August is going to be a soap opera affair — there is no doubt in my mind that Meyer and St. Nick will absolutely PUNISH and EMBARRASS VOL nation on the national stage — I’ll definetly take the “over” on the spread on these games coming up this year — I understand that Lane Kiffin was speaking to the VOL nation and VOL nation only — but he forgot that cameras and media were there — he will learn his lesson the hard way — and in about 3 – 4 years — Mike Helton will be hiring a consulting firm again —- Lane Kiffin is a F’ING I D I O T — this whole fiasco has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard since they invented 8 – Tracks —- peace in T-Town — CHAOS in Knoxville

  3. Why would NASCAR chairman Mike Helton be hiring a consulting firm for UT? The AD @ Tennessee is Mike Hamilton.
