Alabama’s JaMychal Green was named SEC Freshman of the Week after he averaged 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in games against Ole Miss and Kentucky. He led the Crimson Tide in scoring on the week, including a team-high 15 points against Kentucky. Defensively, he held the opposition’s starting forwards to just 11.0 points in the two games. On the season, Green leads all SEC freshmen with 6.8 rebounds while also averaging 9.2 points per game.
