Maybe hes pulling a Tubberville. if we are talking about it , you know the check writers at Florida are too. Maybe its just a way to guarantee himself a big raise come negotiation time. This might sound gay…….But I believe he has too much respect for Tebow to leave. Tebow could have left but chose to honor his scholarship. If Meyer left, I dont think he could look in the mirror.JMO.

Ballplay, do you think maybe just dropping that comment could be a ploy by Meyer,for when they can Weis next year? I will bet the farm Weis will be gone. Meyer could certainly cause FL to dig deep in their pockets. And btw before we see how each others season is going to go I will certainly keep our bet going, you have been a good sport about it.

I dont know. You never know what the conversation was before that comment. Who knows ? I just couldnt see leavin a place like Gainsville Florida for The great White North. Florida is a power now. Hes already started a legacy there. Why go to a job like Notre Shame ? Maybe he liked them as a kid or something. I personally couldnt see it happening. Maybe hes Catholic.

Isnt that all college coaches dream job ? But the fact of the matter is he was offered the job when they canned Winningham. He turned it down. Look it up…….. Or ask some people on this board. They will set you straight.

He aint going to Notre Lame. He didnt go there when he could have 5 years ago. Why would he want to inherit that mess now, when hes got Florida contending year in and out?

Cap, it will only be fun to watch next year if Bama plays Notre Dame where Meyer will be after they can Weis. Florida will then go after Whittingham to replace Meyer.

At the moment, I’d agree that Meyer is the top coach in the conference. The matchup between Meyer and Saban is going to be fun to watch heading into the future.
