Alabama’s recruiting class for 2009 has already started taking shape with three players beginning their Crimson Tide journey with the start of the Winter term. Chance Warmack of Atlanta, Jermaine Preyear of Mobile and JUCO lineman James Carpenter take spots with the Tide. Carpenter is a rated a four-star offensive lineman by Rivals. Preyear was a three-star signee from the 2008 class that deferred enrollment until now. Warmack is ranked as a three-star offensive lineman by Rivals. Alabama Football Welcomes Three Players at Midterm
TUSCALOOSA — The Crimson Tide football team welcomed three new players into the fold on Wednesday with the start of the new semester at the University of Alabama.

Two freshmen and a junior college transfer have enrolled in classes and will be added to the 2009 Alabama football roster.

Freshmen Chance Warmack out of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Ga. and Jermaine Preyear from Davidson High School in Mobile, Ala., are joined by Coffeyville [Kan.] Community College offensive lineman James Carpenter (Hephzibah, Ga.).
