AP: The university released a copy of the letter Thursday to The Associated Press. An Auburn spokeswoman said the letter and the coach’s employment contract were the only documents surrounding Tuberville’s departure, which some Tuberville supporters have said was a forced resignation. Here’s the entire story with specifics on the “resignation.”

  1. UMMMM BRAIN SURGEON >>>>> HE WAS FIRED!!
do we really have to keep asking this or talking this plain and simple he was fired. he would have never gotten that $money$ if he quit and put them in this bamma born COACHING CHAOS!!! cmon read another TON CLANCY novel and get some more ideas …

    WPB!!!

  2. Actually, in a abbreviated letter to the press Tommy Tuberville did explain that he resigned. NOTWITHSTANDING a $5.08 million dollar payout due from Auburn.
Tuberville also stated that he appreciated his time at Auburn.
Rumors that Tuberville then stripped off all of his clothing and ran around campus telling anyone who would listen that “They could kiss his rich ass…” Are neither confirmed or denied.
