The Birmingham News reported that this year’s Iron Bowl ticket demand has surged 68 percent. Prices have also surged for next week’s SEC Championship game in Atlanta.
According to one ticket expert quoted in the story, “Auburn just doesn’t travel like Alabama does,” he said. “This year there might be 5,000 Auburn fans in Tuscaloosa.”
