great start for the season.should be 4;0 going in to georgia game.ranked in top 10. if we beat georgia that really would be a great start which is not impossible.looks like this team might just be for real.wow terrance cody looks like the real deal also coffee was great last night.Just looks like a very special team that will only get better in years to come.so much talent on this team it is unreal. ROLLLL=========TIDE

Looks like a good team. I am impressed and I am sure alot of the skeptics are today. This team played well, and Saban made the most of all of his assets last night. a lot of young players saw playing time in a quality win and that is a very good thing. Plus from what I saw …. this is a different team.

All I can say is either Clemson really sucked, or we have really improved.

  4. LCN September 1, 2008 at 2:28 am #

We did show improvement by not giving up the lead for a change. The whole game I sat there waiting for it, but it never happened.
I still think we’re in for an 8-4 season even 7-5 if worse comes to worse.
This is the SEC and anything can happen.
Ole Miss looked good in their opening game, so did LSU and Auburn even if the spread was a little disappointing but they could be saving their tricks for LSU.

    I forgot something…
As much as I respect the guy, I hope Shane doesn’t post an article with high hopes for the season just because we beat one of the nation’s weakest conference’s middle of the pack team.
He shouldn’t do so until we see what we’re really made of against Arkansas and Georgia.
And how LSU, Auburn, and Ole miss does when the conference games begin.

    Zero yards rushing thats unfreakingbelievable!!

LCN, I agree with you, however you know Shame will let it fly in his next blog and on the FineScum show. Auburn & Alabama will have to prove what they are made of in a few weeks. If things goes well this years Iron Bowl could be special.

  8. rhYno September 1, 2008 at 6:18 pm #

The Iron Bowl is always special. But both teams have a long road to travel before we reach the final destination and they both have a lot of questions left to be answered. I hope it turns out better than the last six have. lol
