Alabama landed another defensive line verbal Tuesday as Sparkman’s three-star Anthony Orr pledged to sign with the Tide, according to multiple media reports.

Orr is reportedly 6’5″ 260-pounds, and picked the Tide over Auburn, Clemson, Miss State, South Carolina and Tennessee. He is listed as a three-star by Rivals and Scout.

Alabama has also notched defensive line verbals from William Ming, D.J. Fluker and Quinton Dial.

According to reports, the UA staff wants Orr to play defensive end.

  1. ONLY 3 stars!!??? Good grief, the Sabanator is losing his touch!!! There will be bammers drowning their sorrows and using their kids for target practice if this keeps up!!!

  2. SSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK IT, KEVIN!

Another prime prospect commits to Alabama over Alabama Tech, therefore no envious remarks will be acceptable from inferior Barnies such as yourself.

Hey, look at the bright side, there are several other prime, 1/2 star prospects available for you guys that UAB, and even some that NO schools is/are targeting.

  3. George w…Is that you again tmc1/probama…..I have found another of your split personalities… No shame in a 3 star.. I think Kevin was just trying to prove a point.

  4. As long as those “prime 1/2 star prospects keeps on kicking you a$$.. what does it matter? George W.. you need to take a pill man…

  5. The difference of course would be that he chose Alabama over actual SEC schools. He did not choose Alabama over LA Tech, UCF, and whatever Sun Belt teams Auburn had been beating out.

  6. Statistically Orr now has about a 1 in 6 chance of being arrested next year and about a 1 in a 100 chance of being drafted into the NFL in 4 years. Good luck!

  7. Statistically speaking, Orr has a better chance of ending The Alabama PolyTECHnic Institute’s glorious streak, along with the rest of the gang that Tuberredneck is losing to Alabama, I mean doesn’t actually need, than all the other mediocre talent that Shula loaded us up with. The same mediocre talent that Tuberredneck could only defeat by a massive average of 7 points or less.

  8. 7 points or 100 points a loss is still a loss no matter how you spin it into moral victories. You know your program has declined when the players have a far better chance of ending up in jail than ending up on the roster of an NFL team. There is a great article on ESPN that tells about what people outside the state of Alabama think about the Crimson Tide program. Read it and we will talk.

  9. Saban 23
    Tubbs 2.
It doesnt matter how many stars he has. He stiff armed the Tubmiester. Gotta love that.!
Ballpay aka Sahnaheters Julio. Its a sad sad thing that you cant find anyone to agree with your horse shit posts so you have to make up fictitional names and do it yourself. You are pathetic….

  10. And it’s basically implying Auburn fans dislike us because we still talk about the Bear and past championships, opposed to Auburn where all they talk about is Alabama. What’s worse? Would you rather a team obsess over championships, or over their arch rival? By the way, our tradition didn’t start or end with Bear Bryant.

It also talked about, other than throwing paper in a tree, there’s nothing else to do in Auburn and that’s the honest to goodness truth. Then it makes a reference to “six” in a row. Has Auburn been the only team that has beaten us since our program was placed on probation?

Do you feel superior making wise cracks about arrests and such in Saban’s first year? Didn’t Tuberville have nearly as many players arrested in his first year? Didn’t he go 4-7? I understand we are on an NFL draft drought right now, but over the course of the last six years, didn’t we finish behind Ole Miss and Mississippi State in recruiting? What more do you expect?

  11. Auburn fans dislike you because you are bammer.. our in-state RIVAL. HEEELLLOOO The EXACT same reason why bammer fans do not like Auburn. Do not be ridiculous with your comments. Nothing else to do in Auburn?? Really?? I spent 4 years there IN SCHOOL and managed to find a lot of things to do besides rolling the corner every time we beat you. But I seriously doubt you have spent more than one night or day in or around Auburn yet you seem to know so much. Basically LCN probabtion or not.. your team sucks and like it or not.. you got your a$$ handed to you A LOT over the last few years. The end.

  12. LCN,

I hate to break it to you, sparky, but UAT’s vaunted “tradition” really did start and end with Bryant. Before and since him, you’ve not achieved all that much.

And I always have to laugh when bammers run down the town of Auburn for being “boring” — as if T-town is some hub of sophistication and activity (other than drinking, snorting coke and getting busted).

  13. Kevin…Another factoid I love to throw to the Bammers is this one .. Since Harvard, Yale and Princeton all have more National Championships than Bama , does that make them relevant in the CFB world ? Does that mean the are going to return from their “weakened state” ? They love that one.

  14. “Ballplay Indian Says:
    July 30th, 2008 at 7:33 am
    Tmc1/probama….Could you be a bigger hypocrite? I think not…”

Thats what you get for trying to think Ballplay/AKA /Shanehaters/ SPAM MAN etc….

Even more Aubbo misinformation. It is indeed a sad day for you. You have told so many lies you dont even know what the truth is anymore. Poor Poor little Aubbo….

  15. As a matter of fact,
I look up and I keep seeing reminders of why Aubbos are too stupid to post even on their own boards. Why dont you adnit it Bally/redneck/aka/API/ANYTHING TO DO WITH SHANE.
Your posts probably got you kicked off the auburn board so you have to come here.
Redneck those 4 years you spent in school at Auburn must have been grade school.

    “Auburn a tradition of 6”

  16. Ballplay and Kevin, you all said the same thing from 1984-1990. What LCN said was right. When you finish behind Ole Miss in recruiting three times, do you expect us to go out and win 13 games over the course of the next four years?

And Kevin, tell us honestly what you do for fun in Auburn that doesn’t consist of rodeos, bull riding, mud riding, and Fraternity KKK meetings? With no bar scene worth while (and there’s only three?), and no A-list musicians ever performing there, and no movie theater or mall located in Auburn, what do you do with your spare time? Please make no irrelevant references to the football team about coke dealings and such because it’s factually known that your players have had more issues with drugs over the last 20 years than we have in recent years. I’ve had quite a few friends who’ve graduated from there, and though they loved the college, they hated the area outside of it simply because it’s nothing!
