Florida player shot
Talk about bad luck for Florida. A player was shot in the shoulder, according to this AP report.

Florida coach Urban Meyer says Gator defensive lineman Matt Patchan is expected to fully recover.

Patchan was shot Friday night. Details of the shooting are not yet known.
The 6-foot-7, 265-pound Patchan enrolled early at Florida in January after graduating from high school.

Steve Spurrier still wants SEC title

  1. Not a good period for UF. But I am not going to add salt to the wounds. But I’am sure someone out there will tell him he needs to recruit on the virtue of character.

  2. Those teams who have lost to UF. 😉 Or some arrogant media person who doesn’t like Meyer’s personality.

Character will only matter to UF fans, IF Meyer loses to Fulmer and Richt and Spurrier this season. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Character only becomes an issue when a team loses.
