S tingers can be a very serious injury—just ask former Alabama and NFL vet Kevin Turner. This story from the Philadelphia Inquirer provides a look into the consequences of football. For Turner, it included lingering pain and an unexplained seizure.

Here’s a fast look at three key games for this week. Needless to say, tonight’s game of South Florida and Rutgers has enormous national championship implications. I feel sick saying that. I also can’t believe Kentucky vs. Florida is a key game. A friend called me Saturday and asked for the weather forecast in Hell—because he was sure it had just frozen over. I didn’t ask if he had gotten into his bourbon with the other Kentucky fans. But I probably didn’t have to ask.
