Here are a few interesting links from Day 1:

Arkansas
Darren McFadden is a humble person. That is refreshing amongst the super-fueled egos of the day. McFadden is a great player and with him in the backfield, everyone in the SEC facing Arkansas should be worried. Another interesting item regarding Arkansas, the soap opera from the off-season made the NY Times.

South Carolina
Spurrier made everyone laugh by insulting Kentucky, Paul Gattis provided the details on his blog. Great stuff as always from Spurrier.

Auburn
Tommy Tuberville and Auburn fans have been sick of Nick Saban for months. The Tigers have lived in Saban’s shadow for the last seven months, and the SEC Media Days saw the same thing—the Tigers fielded lots of Saban questions. Imagine how insufferable Auburn fans will be after the Iron Bowl if the Tigers notch a victory over Saban.

Kentucky
Coach Rich Brooks boasted about how his team accomplished his goals last season and that was getting into the post-season. It is Kentucky, I really don’t think more needs to be said. Making the post-season is a good accomplishment and who knows what is next for the program?
