Conferences around the country and most importantly in the south will hold the annual preseason ritual known as media days. This week the SWAC and SEC will hold Media Days in Birmingham. In case you haven’t heard the schedule:

Wednesday features Arkansas with Houston Nutt and Heisman hopeful Darren McFadden with South Carolina and Steve Spurrier as well as Auburn’s Tommy Tuberville and Kentucky’s Rich Brooks.

Thursday brings Vandy, Alabama, Florida and Miss. State. Friday brings Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU. I’m debating if I should care about media days. I suppose I should since it means football season is just that much closer.

Apparently the AAFL franchise isn’t doing enough to reach out to Auburn fans, if you believe the Huntsville Times. Phillip Marshall complains the AAFL franchise slated for Alabama is just focused on the Crimson Tide. Poor Marshall and Auburn getting left out of the AAFL. It almost makes me want to go to a game. Almost.
