B rad Smelley, a junior at Alabama Christian Academy, was offered a scholarship, according to the Tuscaloosa News. Smelley has played many positions during his high school career including QB last season. In his first season as QB, he went 183 of 264 for 2,611 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also netted 320 yards and five touchdowns rushing.
“Coach Saban said he was going to offer me as an athlete,” Brad Smelley said to the Tuscaloosa News. “He didn’t know exactly where I was going to play, but they were going to go ahead and recruit me as an athlete. It could tight end, H-back, whatever I feel comfortable with.
